North America Now Crossed and Completed on CAKE Electric Motorcycles - Second Continent Accomplished!
CAKE, the Swedish maker of premium lightweight electric motorcycles, celebrates a significant milestone in its "The Electric Conquest of Continents" with the completion of its groundbreaking journey across the United States. Spearheaded by CAKE US Sales Manager Jackie Rosenstein and Friend of CAKE Bobbie Long, this unassisted ride is a powerful testament to the future of zero-emission motorcycling, championed by women.
Following the successful initiation of the Electric Conquest in spring 2023 by Sinje Gottwald, who completed a solo and unassisted ride from Barcelona to Cape Town, Jackie and Bobbie have now etched their names in history. Their journey began in New York City at the CAKE :site, cruising down the iconic Route 66 in Amarillo, Texas, concluding at the CAKE's LA :site in Marina Del Rey.
“The Electric Conquest of Continents is not just about demonstrating the capabilities of our electric motorcycles; it's a movement towards inclusiveness and sustainability in motorcycling. We're honored to have Jackie and Bobbie, following in the footsteps of Sinje, take on this formidable challenge and inspire countless others,” stated Stefan Ytterborn, Founder and CEO of CAKE.
Jackie Rosenstein and Bobbie Long, both avid motorcycle enthusiasts, embarked on this extraordinary journey, marking themselves as the first women duo to traverse North America on electric motorcycles. Their adventure through diverse terrains and conditions tested the endurance and reliability of CAKE's electric motorcycles, underscoring the brand's commitment to innovation and sustainability.
Sinje Gottwald, the pioneering spirit behind The Electric Conquest of Continents, has been a source of ongoing inspiration for the project. Her solo journey through Africa on a CAKE bike showcased not only the rich tapestry of cultures and languages but also marked significant advancements in electric motorcycling technology and social impact.
Mark Bense, CAKE’s Head of Operations for North America, expressed his pride in the team: “This accomplishment is a testament to the spirit of adventure and the potential of electric motorcycles. Jackie and Bobbie’s journey, echoing Sinje's African adventure, is a crucial step in demonstrating the viability of zero-emission vehicles in long-distance travel and adventure riding.”
The completion of the USA crossing is a pivotal moment in CAKE's mission to conquer all continents with electric motorcycles, led exclusively by women riders. These journeys are not only about embracing fossil-free transportation and the pure joy of silent riding but also about proving the durability and versatility of CAKE's electric motorcycles in some of the most challenging conditions.
